Fatoş Irwen spoke at the Pantheon Sorbonne Doctoral Seminar on Geography, resistance and cost (05/04/2024)

In the doctoral seminar Geography, resistance, and cost, Fatoş İrwen discussed with Meltem Yıldız and Jean-Marie Dallet. Presentation of Fatoş Irwen's work and dialogue on art was presented in the context of justice and collective memory in geographies where oppression, conflict and resistance are part of everyday life.

Every year, the Pantheon Sorbonne's Doctoral School manages approximately ten doctoral seminars. The most common mechanism is methodological seminars in which the teacher, a guest, and/or doctoral students all participate. Seminars allow new doctoral students to be integrated into the research community while also forming a pre-service jury for doctoral students preparing for thesis defense and beyond. The course holds students accountable for their research by allowing them to engage in a critical dialogue with one or more experts, such as artists, theorists, critics, engineers, lawyers, economists, and activists.
